Educational Requirements

a) To become a police officer is quiet simple you don’t really need a lot of education. You need at least four years of secondary education but if you haven’t completed grade 12 and have completed a two or three year community college program Ontario considers you as having met the educational equivalence.

 b) Humber College provides an excellent training program for this career. You'll learn from instructors with realistic work experience in private or public policing which means it could be in training or in the real world. As a graduate with a range of security, problem-solving ,and with a commitment to justice and to the community you'll be on your way to the rewarding field of law enforcement in no time and you will enjoy it while learning. Sheridan College also has an excellent program for this type of career.
